Parliament continues debate of package aimed at reducing fines imposed

On February 7 , the National Assembly continued the debate of the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses with the enclosed legislative package , and its proposing amendments refer to the fines imposed as a result of the violation of traffic rules, the simplification of administration, and the reduction of the workload of the administrative courts.

Arpine Davoyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, urging her colleagues to vote for the package.

The deputies, who took the floor, emphasized from different viewpoints the proposing amendments, also presented proposals and remarks, which will be debated during the period from the first to the second reading.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan presented the positive position of the NA Civil Contract Faction on the package. The deputy touched upon his colleagues’ remarks and gave clarifications. “The importance of the draft is not only the fact that the citizen will pay less. The importance of this draft is that we can use the state relevant resources much more effectively. We propose solutions, which refer to everybody,” Vladimir Vardanyan said.
