On the agenda of February 22 sitting of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs was the package of the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, the Protection of Persons Subjected to Violence in Family and Restoration of Solidarity and the enclosed presented draft laws to submit for preliminary debate and conclusion before the second reading.

According to the key rapporteur Zaruhi Batoyan, rather voluminous work was done, and during this period numerous proposals, observations were presented from the RA NA Armenia Faction, the Government, different professional organizations. She proposed to postpone the debate of the package of draft laws for revision.
