On February 22, the participants chosen for the Young specialists’ parliamentary program 2024 met with the heads of the RA NA factions.

The Head of the RA NA Faction Seyran Ohanyan and the member of the Faction Artur Khachatryan spoke about the government model of Armenia, the strategic directions of the state. “In the strategy of the national security of the Republic of Armenia it is noted that different guarantees exist for an Armenian’s identity, and they are – the state effective government, the seeding the democratic bases, the rule of law, the independence and impartiality of the judicial power, the combat capability of the armed forces, the effective activity of the law enforcement bodies, the foreign policy and social justice of large engagement,” the Head of the parliamentary opposition faction said.

Seyran Ohanyan also answered the program participants’ questions relating to the inner and foreign policy pursued by Armenia, the challenges, the RA-Azerbaijan, the RA-RF relations.

The young specialists’ next meeting was with the Head of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjooryan.

“I think that the program is rather effective, due to which the young people will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the state government bodies, particularly, the National Assembly,” the Head of the Faction said welcoming the attendees.

Hayk Konjoryan highly appreciated the regular stream of the young specialists of the National Democratic Institute, which promotes the efficiency of the work of the deputies and the NA Staff. He answered the program participants’ questions, which particularly, related to the ratification of the Rome Statute, the security situation of the Republic of Armenia, the ongoing reforms, the policy being pursued in the foreign relations.

The Head of the RA NA With Honor Hayk Mamijanyan also met with them. The MP, particularly, touched upon the theme of leadership, bringing as an example the five levels of John Maxwell’s theory, He also spoke about the way of reaching success, noting that the success is not a status, it is a process.

Hayk Mamijanyan referred to the inner and foreign policy of the country, the parliamentary diplomacy, talked about the negative sides, by his formulation of the implemented reforms. The deputy also answered the voiced questions.
