The draft law on Making Amendments to the Law on Cumulative Pensions authored by the Government was debated in the second reading at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs on February 26.
According to the RA Law on Cumulative Pensions, in case of having diseases included in the list established by the Government, based on the conclusion issued by the Ministry of Health, the participant has the right to submit a requirement to receive the funds in their pension account in full at any time, including before the retirement age. Currently, the Ministry of Health is debating the application submitted by the beneficiary regarding the requirement to receive the funds in the pension account in full, during which a professional working group is created by the Minister's order, and the Committee, after studying the given documents, gives a decision on conformity or non-conformity.
According to the amendment proposed by the key rapporteur, the RA Deputy Minister of Health Artak Jumayan, it is planned to entrust the mentioned function to the unified social service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
During the period from the first to the second reading, the Government submitted one proposal for technical correction. The co-rapporteur Mariam Poghosyan suggested her colleagues voting for the proposed amendment in the draft.
The revised draft was endorsed.
