On March 12, the deputy of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Zaruhi Batoyan took part in the concluding event of the programme The Pedagogues advocates of The Women, Peace and Security Agenda organized by the Inclusion Armenia Educational and Social-Legal NGO.
The programme is aimed at showing targeted support to the children, who suffered from the conflict in the RA Syunik Marz/Region and living on the border settlements, especially children with disabilities, promoting the improvement of their psycho-social state.
In her opening speech the MP underscored that from 2020, especially, the challenges that are related to The Women, Peace and Security Agenda, were more underlined: “The programme touches upon such problems, which are topical, and we should keep them at the centre of our attention. Due to consolidation and mutual support, the state structures together with the NGOs and the international organizations could solve the rapid response problems in crisis situation, now is one of the most important phases, when we should carry out long-term programmes and work out events. In this issue also the experience of separate programmes and the support of the international organizations are important,” the deputy noted.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia John Gallagher also gave an opening speech in the event.
