1 / 3

At April 2 sitting, the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs debated in the second reading a number of legislative initiatives and endorsed them. The Committee Chair Vladimir Vardanyan moderated the sitting.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan presented the bill designing the amendments to the constitutional law on Constitutional Court. He informed that after the first reading the draft was not amended.

Levon Balyan also presented the package of the new law on Enforcement Proceedings designing complete, new comprehensive regulations connected with compulsory enforcement instead of the law on Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts and about 30 related draft laws. According to him, after the first reading, as a result of joint debates with the deputies, the Government proposed to make some amendments in the package. “There some problems of technical character in the draft, which we propose to completely rectify,” the rapporteur informed and added that it is also proposed to make other amendments.

It is designed that the new law on Enforcement Proceedings will enter into force from July 1, 2025.
