Armenia goes through path to democracy. We have chosen a clear path, and the representatives of the international organizations give assessment to our chosen path, our political activity. Their assessments are awareness for the current government. The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Rustam Bakoyan said this at the meeting with the students of the Faculty of International Relations of Yerevan State University (YSU).

Rustam Bakoyan talked with the students about the path passed by Armenia in the last thirty years, touched upon the mistakes and achievements happened during that period.

In his opinion, at present we should ensure and strengthen the security of Armenia in two directions – diplomatic and military.

Regarding the economic growth recorded in Armenia, the deputy noted that the security of the country begins from the economy.

Answering the students’ questions, Rustam Bakoyan spoke about the modernization of the judicial system, the reform, the state duty, Armenia-Russia relations and the external challenges.
