On April 9, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the Director of Political Affairs and External Relations in the Council of Europe Miroslav Papa.

Welcoming the guest in the National Assembly, Sargis Khandanyan noted that the toolkit of the Council of Europe is important for the democratic development in Armenia. The Committee Chair highlighted the consistent developments of mutual cooperation.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception, the Director of Political Affairs and External Relations in the CoE mentioned that the Armenian delegation is quite active and constructive in PACE.

During the meeting, issues regarding partnership between Armenia and the Council of Europe, as well as regional security were discussed.

A reference was made to the issues of providing support to those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
