Standing Committee on European Integration Hosts Chairman of European Union Affairs Committee of Senate of Poland

On May 16, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan, the Deputy Chair of the Committee Meri Galstyan, the members Sona Ghazaryan and Tatevik Gasparyan met with the Chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Bogdan Klich. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Armenia Piotr Skwieciński was also present at the meeting.

Arman Yeghoyan thanked his Polish colleague for accepting his invitation and visiting Armenia.

The interlocutors recorded the existing warm relations between the two peoples and the states and highlighted the continuous work towards their further development. A special reference was made to the deepening of relations between Armenia and the European Union and Poland's support in this matter.

Bogdan Klich said that in the work carried out in the direction of European integration, Armenia can expect the support of the Polish experts who have great experience in all the fields related to the EU.

A number of issues related to geopolitics, peace and democracy were also discussed.

Ahead of Poland’s Presidency of the EU Council from January 1, 2025, the parties agreed to form more in-depth cooperation on issues of common interest.

The MPs referred to the issues regarding interaction on multilateral platforms, promotion of commercial ties and investments.
