On May 14, the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Mariam Poghosyan visited Janfida village of Armavir Marz within the framework of the regular visit to the community. The MP met with the staff members of Edvard Dashtoyan Secondary School and Vazgen Sargsyan kindergarten, as well as a group of pupils.
The kindergarten and the school sport hall and the banquet hall were overhauled by the State-community co-financing subvention programme. Classes designed for a number of subjects were upgraded with modern facilities, and now they serve as catalysts for dynamic educational experience.
The recent educational reforms, the new opportunities brought from them and the caused complications were discussed with the teachers. The issues on improving the educational programmes and the infrastructural developments were at the centre of attention on the background of exchange of ideas, particularly the School food project, the teachers’ voluntary attestation and the new rating system.
The pupils talked with the MP about the themes concerning them – necessity of getting new textbooks and translated modern foreign literature the school library. They also made proposals how to create more favourable educational environment.
The visit ended with the meeting of the kindergarten staff, where as an urgent problem the issue of the building heating was singled out.
During the meetings the raised problems were recorded. The MP expressed readiness to support their solution.
