The proposing regulations are aimed at the rise of the implementation of the policy preventing the level road network and tunnel security, the decrease of their possible risks and road accidents. On May 17, at the sitting of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan said, presenting the package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA law on Transport Road and on Making Addenda to the law on State Duty in the second reading.

“In fact, we ensure with these regulations the approximation of two directives being demanded by the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement in our inner-state national legislation,” the key rapporteur noted, emphasizing the definition of the compulsory demand of holding road safety audit during the building, reconstruction and hauling of roads. The road safety audit is planned to carry out one year after the road design, construction and operation. Accordingly, the road safety auditor cannot be involved in the transport road design subject to road safety audit, copyright and technical control, as well as in the implementation processes of construction. According to Kristine Ghalechyan, during the period from the first to the second reading the presented proposals were mainly of technical and editorial character, which were accepted.

The revised legislative initiative was endorsed.

The Committee debated in the second reading and also endorsed the revised draft of the law on Amending the RA Tax Code.

The Deputy Minister informed that the purpose of the draft is the boosting of the taxpayers’ tax discipline by reviewing the compensation system of the income tax sums paid from the incomes being received in the form of interest shares.

The compensation in case of meeting the tax disciplinary criteria of the interest paying organization will be ensured by the adoption of the draft.
