Committee endorses initiatives debated in second reading

At June 7 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the package of bills on Amending the law on Public Service and on Making Addenda and Amendments to the law on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions authored by the Government was debated in the second reading.

According to the Head of the Civil Service Bureau of the RA Prime Minister Staff Vache Qalashyan, after being adopted in the first reading no substantive amendment was made in the package. Only one technical amendment was made.

The bill on Making Addendum to RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the deputy of the NA Civil Contract Faction Arpine Davoyan was also debated in the second reading.

The MP noted that during the period from the first to the second reading technical amendments was made in the draft by the proposal of the Government.

The debated legislative initiatives were approved by the Committee.

The debate of the package of draft laws stipulating amendments to the law on Registration of Civil Status Acts and to the enclosed laws was postponed up to two months on the basis of the author’s absence.
