On July 11, the RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan met with the Speaker of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf within the framework of the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg.

The RA NA Vice President congratulated the interlocutor on the successful holding of the extraordinary presidential elections held in the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of the Armenia-Iran relations.

Ruben Rubinyan underscored that the Armenia-Iran partnership is based on friendship and brotherhood for thousands of years.

Investment of joint efforts in the direction of further development of cooperation in the areas of mutual interest was emphasized.

Issues regarding Armenia-Iran inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as regional security and peace were discussed at the meeting.
