Parliament completes work of extraordinary session

On July 12, the work of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly convened at the initiative of the Government continued. The MPs debated a number of legislative initiatives in the second reading.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the law on Compensation for Damages Caused to the Life or Health of Servicemen During the Defense of the Republic of Armenia was debated.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights authored by the deputies of the NA Civil Contract Faction Narek Zeynalyan, Lusine Badalyan, Tatevik Gasparyan and Lena Nazaryan was also debated in the second reading. After the adoption of the first reading, the draft was supplemented with one provision, which refers to the issue of embryo transfer.

The Government's position on the addendum was positive.

The National Assembly also debated the draft law on Making Addendum to the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, which was not amended.

The Parliament adopted the bills debated yesterday and today by voting.

Having exhausted the agenda, the legislative body completed the work of the extraordinary session.
