On June 22 Mr. Tigran Torosyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia received Mrs. Heike Peitsch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia, on the occasion of the completion of ambassador mission.
Noting that Mrs. Heike-Renate Peitsch did tangible steps in the aspect of deepening the relations of the two countries, the President of the National Assembly highlighted the further development of the inter parliamentary relations, the potential of which have the two countries and wished the Ambassador success in her activity.
Mrs. Heike Peitsch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia, that had officiated three years in Armenia thanked the President of the National Assembly for cooperation and noted that during her officiating, special parliamentary elections were held in the Federal Republic of Germany, the visit of the Bundestag parliamentary friendship group with the South Caucasus to the region is envisaged in the nearest future.
Issues related to the development of the political and multi-party system were also debated during the meeting. Noting that in the upcoming years also steps should be taken in that direction, the President of the National Assembly highlighted the use of the German rich experience in this field. In that framework the President of the National Assembly touched upon the necessity of equal work with all the political representatives of the German funds, as the power and opposition are part of the same multi-party system and have the same problems. Mr. Tigran Torosyan also highlighted the establishment of cooperation with the German political institutions.
