Working Meeting in the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly

On November 19 the first meeting of the working group, created for legislative amendment in the field of the activity of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly and e- mass-media was held, where the RA draft law, authorized by the members of the Standing Committee, on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on TV and Radio was debated, where the proposed amendments were conditioned by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the proposed provisions ofthe PACE Resolution 1609.

The experts of interested international and local institutions and specialists of the sphere were included in the working group.

Mr. Armen Ashotyan, Chairman of the Committee touching upon the history of the creation of the draft, noted that the co-authors taking into consideration the received expert conclusions and remarks of the Government, OSCE Yerevan Office and CE reedited the draft.

Presenting the draft, provision by provision, Mr. Ashotyan proposed the members of the working group to show merely experts' approach and to present the remarks to the commission in the written form.
