On September 1st the meeting of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly took place, where a number of bills, to be included on the agenda of the September 15-17 four-day sittings of the sixths session of the National Assembly of the fourth convocation were debated and endorsed by the committee.
The debate of a number of legislative initiatives was postponed at the request of the authors.
Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia participated in the meeting. The Parliament President said that the public should know the names of those MPs, absent from the meetings. According to Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, if there are some MPs, who do not participate in the meetings of the standing committee, the form of the committees should be reviewed.
Let us note that only six MPs, from nine, participated in the meeting.
Mr. Gevorg Malkhasyan, Deputy Minister of Justice, submitted for the second reading the package of the legislative initiatives on Making Addenda to the Customs Code of the Republic of Armenia and on Making Addenda to the Civil Code of the Republic of Armenia. The bill will be included on the draft agenda of the forthcoming four-day sittings.
Mr. Gevorg Malkhasyan, Deputy Minister of Justice, submitted for the second reading the package of the bills on Making Amendments to the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia and on Making Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Prosecutor’s. The package will be included on the draft agenda of the forthcoming four-day sittings.
The Committee also debated for the second reading the Government submitted draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Payment of Civil Servants. The bill will be included on the draft agenda of the forthcoming four-day sittings of the National Assembly.
Mr. Hovhannes Margaryan, MP, presented for the first reading his authorized draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Criminal Proceedings Code of the Republic of Armenia.
The draft will be included in the draft agendas of the autumn session and the forthcoming four-day sittings.
Mr. Victor Dallakyan, MP, submitted for the first reading his legislative initiative on Making Amendment to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on civil Service. The committee endorsed the bill. It also will be included in the draft agendas of the autumn session and the forthcoming four-day sittings.
Mr. Davit Harutyunyan submitted the legislative initiative on Making Amendment to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Organizing and Passing Controls in the Republic of Armenia, which was debated for the first reading
Also other bills were debated during the meeting. The Committee will present its conclusion at the next meeting.
