On October 19-22, Ms. Naira Zohrabyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly, in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, participated in the launching conference of creation of Eastern Partnership parliamentary format.

During the conference, convened by the presidency of Sweden, there were presented the proposals of the 6 member states and EU member states of Eastern Partnership of how they imagine the parliamentary format of the partnership i.e. - "Euronest," which may be a serious impetus to the main platforms, established by Eastern partnership as well as for the solution of economic integration issues of the EU partner states. Ms. Naira Zohrabyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly, in her speech presented the proposals of the Armenian side, noting that Armenia highlights the creation of parliamentary format of partnership, which will give an opportunity to promote the European integration of partnership countries by using flexible parliamentary instruments and parliamentary diplomacy.

Speaking about the cooperation among the partner states, which is the main component of the Eastern partnership, Ms. Naira Zohrabyan touched upon the biased policy of Azerbaijan, which essentially impedes the solution of prior issues, proclaimed by the partnership.

Ms. Naira Zohrabyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly, said that it is unacceptable for the Armenian part if Azerbaijan try to turn the parliamentary partnership format into a format of conflict solution, adding that it will lead to a blind alley.

During the Stockholm meeting, the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly also met with the representatives of the Armenian community as well as with the Members of Parliament of Sweden, presenting clarifications related to Armenian-Turkish signed protocols and further development of Armenian-Turkish relations.
