On February 5, the Speaker of the National Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received the Head of OSCE Office in Yerevan Mr. Sergey Kapinos.

The interlocutors highly assessed the cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and OSCE Office in Yerevan, and noted with satisfaction that all the events envisaged by the Memorandum on Cooperation signed between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and OSCE Office in Yerevan on April 15, 2009 were successfully carried out during the previous year. Taking into account that circumstance RA NA Speaker Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan proposed to sum up the programmes of cooperation envisaged for 2010 and continue jointly working in the sphere of the development of professional capabilities of the National Assembly.

During the meeting the sides also discussed the issue of improving the legislation of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with the European standards.
