On March 12 the President of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk. Greeting the high-ranking guest the NA President noted that the Armenian-Polish relations are at high level, as President of the Parliament he will do his best in order to develop them more. The visit of the Prime Minister witnesses that there is a desire to develop the relations from both sides.

Donald Tusk highly assessed the Armenian-Polish relations and recorded the great potential of implementing joint actions. He highlighted the role of Armenia in the Eastern Partnership programme, considering Armenia as a reliable partner. The RA NA Speaker in his turn noted that our country was concerned about that programme, and it was important to turn the programme into practice.

Hovik Abrahamyan considered important the support of Poland to Armenia in the process of integrating into the European family. Our country is very attentive towards the initiatives of Poland in the European structures. The NA President also emphasized the activation of cooperation in international structures.

The Head of the Armenian Parliament highly assessed the cooperation with the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly of the participant states of the Eastern Partnership.

The NA President also touched upon the Armenian-Turkish protocols, noting that the Armenian Parliament will ratify them after the ratification of the Turkish Parliament.

The sides also discussed issues concerning the economic crisis. Donald Tusk presented the experience of Poland of overcoming the crisis, taking into account the comparatively positive indices of that country.
