Parliamentary Hearings on the Bills’ Package of Pension System Reform

On September 22 on the initiative of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs of RA National Assembly parliamentary hearings were organized to debate the legislative package (about five dozens of bills) of the government envisaging pension reforms, which was passed in the first reading in June.

Opening the hearings the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan said that in the hearings besides the deputies representatives of the Public Council, NGOs, trade unions, other concerning organizations were invited. Hakob Hakobyan proposed the participants of the hearings within the fixed term to present recommendations in written form, which in case of being acceptable would be included in the bills’ package, after which it would be introduced for debate in the second reading.

RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the member of RA CB board Aharon Chilingaryan, the RA CB specialist Vigen Shahnazaryan and the head of RA Ministry of Finance Vakhtang Mirumyan.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan and the main reports answered the numerous and diverse issues and concerns of the participants of the hearings.
