On November 3 the President of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikha Lubna Al-Qasimi.
At the beginning of the meeting the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan expressed his deep condolences on the death the Ruler of UAE Ras Al-Khaimah Sheikh Al-Qasimi.
The NA President expressed conviction that the minister’s visit to Armenia would promote the development and deepening of the relations between the two countries. He highly assessed the current level of the political and economic cooperation, documenting with satisfaction that the relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates in different directions had stable progress: the activation of the cooperation in agriculture, tourism, pharmaceutics, education, science and other spheres was highlighted. Mr Abrahamyan also underlined the importance of the development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation in deepening the relations between the two countries. The NA President emphasized the conduct of the business forum in Yerevan first time in the history of the Armenian-Emirates relations, which would be a serious impetus for the further deepening and expansion of the investment field of the trade-economic relations.
Expressing gratitude for reception Mrs Sheikha Lubna Al-Kasimi highlighted the further development of Armenia-UAE cooperation, the activation of the trade-economic relations, the increase of the trade turnover, volumes of the investment. She documented with satisfaction that during the last two years the cooperation in different spheres of the two countries had unprecedented progress and expressed conviction that in near future the cooperation would develop. She stressed with joy that an important phase of the fulfillment of the agreements and calling them into life had begun in the relations of the two countries.
