On November 4 RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Armenia Ivan Kukhtay.

The NA President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his diplomatic mission in our country and wished success during his tenure, expressing confidence that Mr Kukhtay’s activities would promote to more develop and deepen the Armenian-Ukrainian traditional friendly relations. Hovik Abrahamyan highly assessed the current level of the inter-state relations and highlighted the strengthening of the inter-parliamentary relations, the cooperation in the international structures and the development of the partnership in different spheres.

The newly appointed Ambassador, who was the first time in Armenia, expressed willingness to promote the development of the Ukrainian-Armenian friendly relations in all directions, which had historically been formed.

In the course of the meeting other issues of bilateral interest were discussed.
