On December 7 RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings and by voting adopted the bills debated on the previous day.

Before passing to the law-making work the deputies by the proposal of the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan with one-minute silence honoured the memory of the 1988 earthquake innocent victims. Expressing condolences to the victims’ families the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan in particular said: “Dear colleagues, today is the 22^nd anniversary of the 1988 December disastrous earthquake. They say time puts in its place everything. However, time has things to do for healing the wounds of that tragedy. We express our support to all the victims’ families and friends and ensure them that the state will do its best to solve all the problems till the end because the state also relies on its citizens’ hope, faith and trust.”

The senior classes of Yerevan Kanaker-Zeytun community schools attended the sitting of the National Assembly.

Afterwards the parliament ended the debate of the bill On the Order of Glory in the first reading, which it began on the previous day.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan submitted to the debate of the parliament in the second reading the draft law On Amending the RA Law On the Citizens, Who Has Not Passed Compulsory Military Service by Violating the Established Order.

The Deputy Chairman of RA State Revenue Committee Armen Alaverdyan submitted for debate a number of bills aimed at the improvement of the business environment, a draft law On Making Addendum and Amendment to RA Law on Taxes and a package concerning the tax field in the second reading.

The MPs debated in particular the package of the draft laws On Making Amendment and Addendum to RA Law On Taxes, On Amending the RA Law On Compulsory Social Insurance Payments and On Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law On Taking into Tax Account and Taking Out from the Tax Account the Organizations and Physical Entities.

The RA Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan submitted to the parliament in the second reading the package of bills envisaging amendments On Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law On Licensing.

The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan proposed for debate in the second reading the draft law On Making Amendments and Addendum to RA Law On State Duty.

The MPs debated in the first reading the draft law On Amending the RA Law on RA International Treaties.

In connection with the bill the MPs Styopa Safaryan, Viktor Dallakyan, Armen Martirosyan, Larisa Alaverdyan and Vardan Bostanjyan voiced their views, and their speeches related to the legal status of the relations between the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and the events occurred over it.

The Heritage and RPA factions expressed their views on the bill.

The head of the Heritage faction Styopa Safaryan within the debate of this bill touched upon the issue on NKR recognition. According to him, today the recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic imperative.

The member of the RPA faction Hamlet Harutyunyan touched upon his colleague’s speech and said that the President of the Republic recently distinctly expressed his view on the time of the recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, saying that it would be carried out in case of aggression by Azerbaijan.

The debate of the bill will continue at December 8 NA sitting.
