On April 11 the next four-day sittings of the National Assembly began with the approval of the agendas of the ninth session and four-day sittings.
National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the senior class students of a group of schools of Yerevan Erebuni administrative district attending the sitting within the NA Open Doors policy framework.
Mr Abrahamyan said that on the initiative of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on April 4, as a result of parliamentary hearings on the activity of RA Gas Supply System, the Committee Chairman Vardan Ayvazyan announced that it was decided to set up a working group for studying the raised issue.
The NA deputies ended the debate of the package of bills on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law On Economic Competition Protection and proposing amendments to a number of laws, which was interrupted in the previous sitting, as well as the bill on Making Addenda and Amendments to RA Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly debated the Protocol N 5 On Amending the Treaty On Russian Military Station in the Territory of the Republic of Armenia between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation of March 16, 1995 between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation signed in Yerevan on August 20, 2010.
The NA deputies also debated the bill On Freedom of Assemblies and the package of bills proposing amendments and addenda in a number of laws, the package of bills proposing amendments and addenda On State Non-Commercial Organizations and in a number of laws and the bill on the amendments and addenda to RA Law On Temporary Invalidity Allowances.
RA Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan presented the RA draft law On Free Economic Zones and the package of bills proposing amendments in a number of laws connected with it.
The debate of the draft law will continue at the April 12 sitting of the National Assembly.
