On May 4 the representatives of the Union of Banks visited the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly led by the Chairman Ashot Osipyan. The heads of the Union of member Banks met the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee Artsvik Minasyan to discuss the existing problems in the system and their legislative possible solutions.
According to Gagik Minasyan, the committee has a tradition and good experience of working with the Union of Banks: as a result, it was succeeded to improve the field of the banking activity with a number of legislative amendments. In the name of the committee Gagik Minasyan expressed willingness to continue the cooperation with the union with the expectation of making more effective and profitable the work of the banks.
Ashot Osipyan also considered important and mutually beneficial the cooperation with the parliament, especially with the specialized committee. The representatives of the Union discussed with the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Committee the problems concerning the heads of the banks, which have been in circulation in the shape of legislative initiatives or demand solution in the near future.
The sides expressed conviction that such meetings should be of continuous nature. In Gagik Minasyan’s words, the members of the Union of Banks have partners ready to support in the committee of the parliament. Ashot Osipyan thanked the legislators for the discussions and advice.
