On April 1-5 the Parliamentary delegation led by RA National Assembly Chairman Artur Baghdasaryan will pay an official visit to the Republic of Italy on the invitation of Pier Ferdinando Casini, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy.

In Rome the Armenian Parliamentary delegation is scheduled to meet with Pier Ferdinando Casini, the Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, the Lower House of the Italian Parliament, Marcello Pera, the Head of the Italian Senate, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini, Enrico La Loggia, Minister for Italian Regional Affairs, Giuseppe Mannino, President of the Rome City Council, Francesco Storace, the Governor of the Region of Lazio. The members of the delegation are also expected to meet with the representatives of the Armenian community in Rome and the personnel of the Levonian Armenian College.

A partnership agreement will be signed with Riccardo Nencini, the President of the Regional Council of Tuscany within the framework of the visit. Members of the delegation will meet with Florence mayor Leonardo Dominici and Tuscany governor Claudio Martini.

The NA delegates will also meet with Udine mayor Sergio Cecotti, the representatives of the Armenian community, Grado authorities in Trieste. An agreement partnership will be signed with Riccardo Illy, the governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia. In Venice the delegation will meet with the city mayor Paolo Costa.
