Samvel Nikoyan Receives the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of India to RA Achal Kumar Malhotra

On February 16 the RA NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan received Achal Kumar Malhotra, the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia.

Thanking for the visit the NA Speaker has noted that Armenia greatly imphasizes the close relations existing with India, which has regional and world serious role. In Mr Nikoyan’s word those relations having history of centuries, at present are normally developing both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and in different international structures. The NA Speaker has highlighted the inter-parliamentary cooperation, which has been rather lively, and expressed willingness to more deepen them. India’s successes of recent years are also impressive in the sphere of economy, especially in the information technologies, and according to Mr Nikoyan, in that respect there are good perspectives of cooperation.

Congratulating Samvel Nikoyan on being elected Speaker of the National Assembly, the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of India to RA has noted that in his country they highly appreciate the friendly relations with Armenia, which are traditional. He has stressed the contribution, which the Armenian people have in India’s cultural and other spheres. Highlighting the role of the National Assembly in the processes of improvement being implemented in the country, Achal Kumar Malhotra underlined the importance of the inter-parliamentary bilateral cooperation, which, according to him, has been at highest level. In the word of the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of India to RA, all the favourable preconditions exist to more expand the Armenian-Indian ties in all possible directions.
