On February 22 the members of the of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Culture and Civil Society of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly visited Tsitsernakaberd laid flowers at the Memorial perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims, honored the memory of one and a half million innocent victims with a minute of silence and bowed their heads.
The representatives of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly have been in the Genocide Museum, got acquainted with the documents concerning the Armenian Genocide.
Laima Liucija Andrikiene, Co-Chair of the Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Culture and Civil Society of the EURONEST PA noted: “I express my deep gratitude to the organizers that gave us opportunity to pay our tribute to the memory of the innocent victims.”
Ms Andrikiene left a note in the Commemoration Book: “The Armenian people enjoy our respect, and we are next to them. We should cure the Armenian people’s wounds.”
