On March 21 the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings and passed by voting all the bills debated on the previous day and ratified the international treaties.

Before turning to law-making activity at the NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan’s proposal the deputies welcomed the students and professors of Yerevan Valery Brusov Linguistic University, who were following the NA sitting.

The parliament continued the debate of the 2012 Annual Activity Programme of the State Commission for Protection of RA Economic Competition, which was interrupted on the previous day.

The deputies Ara Nranyan and Hermine Naghdalyan presented their considerations and positive stances on the programme.

In his final speech Artak Shaboyan, Chairman of the State Commission for Protection of RA Economic Competition touched upon the deputies questions and gave exhaustive answers.

The National Assembly debated in the seocnd reading procedure the bill envisaging amendments to the law "On Consumption Cooperation." The Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan presented the deputies' proposals from the first reading and the completions made on their basis.

The NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment debated and endorsed the bill.

Arev Samuleyan, Deputy Culture Minister presented the Council of Europe Framework Convention "The Importance of the Cultural Heritage for the Society," then the agreement "On Cooperation in the Spheres of Culture and Art between the RA Government and the Government of the State of Kuwait."

The parliament debated the amendments "In the RA Criminal Code" proposed by Viktor Dallakyan.

The Minister of Justice submitted to the parliament the draft law "On Legal Regime of the Emergency Situation" in the thrid reading and with certain editorial corrections.

The parliament passsed by voting this draft law.

In accordance with the NA Rules of Procedure, the last sitting of the Wednesday sittings was allotted to the Q & A between the deputies and the members of the government.
