On July 12 presided over by the RA NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan the sitting of the Council of the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) was held, where the RA Minister of Education and Education Armen Ashotyan was also taking part in it.
Presenting the agenda of the sitting Hovik Abrahamyan, RA NA Speaker, ASUE Council President noted that with the first item the elections of the directors of the ASUE Gyumri and Yeghegnadzor branches were scheduled. Samson Davoyan’s candidacy was nominated for the post of the Gyumri Branch Director, and Sos Khachikyan – in the post of the Yeghegnadzor Branch Director. The Council members elected the nominated candidates by secret ballot with the voters’ absolute majority.
The second item was relating to the implementation of the partial amendments in the ASUE Statute. Koryun Atoyan, Chancellor of the Armenian State University of Economics reported that the Statute had been adopted by the decision of the Government on October 6, 2005, and conditioned by the legislative amendments made during the years, and a need of revision in it had been occurred. By the Chancellor’s report a need of unification or separation of a number of chairs in the ASUE which will result in the more effective organization of the work. The ASUE Council members discussed and by voting accepted the Chancellor’s proposals.
Other items were also discussed at the sitting of the Council of the Armenian State University of Economics.
