On July 24 Sergey Narishkin, Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and the members of the Delegation led by him met with the members of the Presidium of RA National Academy of Sciences (NAS), heads of scientific organizations, representatives of scientific community at the Session Hall of the Presidium of RA National Academy of Sciences.

In his speech Sergey Narishkin, particularly, touched upon the possibilities of the development of bilateral scientific-technical ties and further cooperation in different spheres of science.

Academician Radik Martirosyan, President of RA NAS awarded Sergey Narishkin, Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, RA NAS Gold Medal for the contribution in strengthening and developing the Armenian-Russian comprehensive cooperation, and presented him the copy of the Armenian first book printed by Hakob Meghapart in Venice in 1512.
