On September 1 the RA Delegation led by the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan arrived in Stepanakert to take part in the festive events dedicated to the 21^st anniversary of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.

On the same day a solemn awarding ceremony was held in the NKR President’s residence. By the decree of the NKR President Bako Sahakyan the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan was awarded Mesrop Mashtots Medal for the services rendered to the Republic of Artsakh. Congratulating those present and thanking for deserving the NKR high award, the Head of the Armenian Parliament has noted that in his capacity as President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia henceforth he is also ready to direct all his efforts to the international recognition and reinforcement of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.

After the solemn awarding ceremony held in the NKR President’s residence in the Renaissance Square of Stepanakert the RA NA President and the Delegation members took part in the festive concert organized on the 21^st anniversary of Declaration of the NKR Independence.
