At the September 20 sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport presided over by Artak Davtyan debated and endorsed the package of amendments being proposed “On Amending the RA Law on Language” and in a number of other laws for including in the agendas of the session and the upcoming four-day sittings.
The Committee also debated the package of RA laws “On Amending the RA Law on General Education” and “On Amending the RA Law on Education, as well as the RA Law “On Amending the RA Law “On State Inspection of Education,” which presented the Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan. As a result of voting, the Committee endorsed the package for including in the agendas of the session and the upcoming four-day sittings, but decided to hold also parliamentary hearings.
The Committee debated and endorsed the package of RA draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Higher Education and Post Higher Education Specialized Education” and “On Amending the RA Law on Education.”
The Committee members accepted as knowledge the report on 2011 Activity of the Television and Radio National Committee (TRNC), introduced by the TRNC Chairman Grigor Amalyan and the report by the Chairman of the National Television and Radio Council Alik Harutyunyan on 2011 Activity of the Public Television and Radio Company.
As a result of voting, the Committee approved the order of formation and activity of the Youth Parliament adjunct to the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.
