Work of the National Assembly Four-Day Sittings Continues

On February 6 the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings and by voting passed the bills debated on the previous day. Before turning to the debate of the interrupted issue the deputies welcomed the delegates of the South Caucasus Youth Parliament at the NA sitting.

Then the deputies continued the debate of the RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on State Statistics” which was interrupted on February 5.

The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Mikayel Melkumyan presented the endorsement of the committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ara Simonyan presented the protocol “On Amending the Agreement on Cooperation in Building and Operating a Hydro-Electric Station on the Arax River between the RA Government and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The Head of the State Migration Service adjunct to the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration Gagik Yeganyan presented the protocol "On Amending the Agreement of October 5, 2007 on Formation of the Council of the Heads of the Participant States’ Migration Bodies of Cooperation of the CIS Participant States” signed in Moscow on December 10, 2010.

The Head of General Department of Civil Aviation adjunct to the RA Government Artyom Movsesyan presented the agreement “On Air Communications between the RA Government and the Government of State of Kuwait” signed in Yerevan on October 5, 2011.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Samvel Farmanyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The parliament in the first reading also debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Energy,” “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing,” “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty” and “On Amending the RA Water Code,” which presented the Acting Director of the State Institution of the Programme Implementation Office “National Center of Legislation Regulation” Armen Yeghiazaryan.

The Chairman of the RA Civil Service Council Manvel Badalyan proposed the deputies to make amendments to two laws “On Civil Aviation” and “On Community Service.”

The RPA deputy Arpine Hovhannisyan presented the draft law “On Amending the Law on State and Office Secret” jointly elaborated with faction members Galust Sahakyan, Eduard Sharmazanov, Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan, Ruzanna Muradyan and Hermine Naghdalyan.

The debate of the issue will continue on February 7.

At the last hour of the Wednesday sitting, by the established order of the NA Rules of Procedure, the deputies of the parliament addressed questions to the government.
