On February 7 the National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings and by voting passed the draft laws debated on the previous day.
Then the deputies continued the debate of the draft law “On Amending the RA Law On State and Office Secret” interrupted on the previous day.
In his concluding speech the NA deputy Arpine Hovhannisyan noted that the draft law was inclined to the fulfillment of the CC decision: create a situation that the citizens would not undergone groundless restrictions connected with information.
Afterwards the deputies debated the agreement “On the Order of Revising the Degree of Secrecy of the Information Secretly Written During the Period of Existence of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics” signed in Saint Petersburg on 18 October 2011, which presented the First Deputy Director of the National Security Service adjunct to the RA Government Romik Harutyunyan.
The member of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Shirak Torosyan made a co-report.
The RA Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan in the first reading presented the package of bills on amending the law “On Justice Academy” and in a number of laws.
The Head Committee on State and Legal Affairs Davit Harutyunyan endorsed the package.
The NA deputies Edmon Marukyan and Koryun Nahapetyan delivered a speech on the issue under debate and deemed right the circumstance of studying under one floor the candidates of judges and prosecutors.
Summing up the debate Hrayr Tovmasyan gave clarifications in the speeches on the views.
The RA Justice Minister also presented the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Prosecutor’s Office,” “On Amending the RA Law on RA Special Investigative Service,” and the package of bills proposing amendments in the RA Criminal Code and in RA Code on Administrative Infringements.
The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs endorsed the view on the draft laws.
The co-author presented the package of the RA draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Psychiatric Aid” and “On Amending the RA Law on Advocacy” authored by Ara Babloyan and Davit Harutyunyan.
The NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood endorsed the draft laws.
The parliament also debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Electronic Communication,” “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing,” “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty,” which presented the Acting Director of the State Institution of the Programme Implementation Office “National Center of Legislation Regulation” Armen Yeghiazaryan.
Vardan Ayvazyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
The National Assembly ended the work of the four-day sittings. The debate of the issue will continue at the next four-day sittings of the National Assembly.
