Sittings of the NA Standing Committee are Convened

On April 5 the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs at the sitting held by the Davit Harutyunyan’s chair debated and endorsed a number of bills, which will be included in the draft law agendas of the NA spring and upcoming four-day sittings.

The Committee in the first reading debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Family Code” and “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.”

The Committee in the first reading also debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Registration of Rights towards Property.”

The RA Government presented the endorsement on the bills.

The Committee in the second reading debated and also endorsed the legislative package “On Amending the RA Criminal Code” and “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements,” the bills “On Amending the RA Law on Prosecutor’s Office,” “On Amending the RA Law on Special Investigative Service” and “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Citizenship.”

On the same day the NA Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by the Gagik Minasyan debated and approved “The Program of North Corridor Modernization,” signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. The credit agreement will be included in the agenda of the upcoming four-day sittings.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan also debated the credit agreement “The Program of Northern Corridor Modernization,” signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed on November 23, 2012, which presented the RA Deputy Finance Minister. According to the key speaker it is expected to put an end to the program during the following three years of agreement signing.

The debated agreement will be submitted with endorsement for the debate and ratification of the parliament.

At the sitting a number of themes and issues of public importance on holding parliamentary hearings in future were also debated.
