On May 31 on the initiative of the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan working consultation was held on the problems and proposals presented in the section “RA Ministry of Defense” of the report “On the Activity of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and Violation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in the Country During the Year 2012.”

The RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, the RA Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan, members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, as well as other invitees were taking part in the consultation.

By the results of the consultation the further steps aimed at the fulfillment of the solution of the aforesaid problems and certain recommendations were pre-indicated, and an agreement was reached to make the debates with such format.
