From May 28 to May 30 the delegation of the RA National Assembly led by the RA NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan was in the Russian Federation.
On May 28 in the historical-cultural of the Prokhorovka town of Belgorod region of the Russian Federation the 22nd Sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA NA and the RF FA was held, where the RA NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan, deputies Vardan Ayvazyan, Tachat Vardapetyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Volodya Badalyan, Martin Sargsyan, Ruzanna Muradyan, Hayk Babukhanyan, Rubik Hakobyan, Tigran Urikhanyan, Karen Botoyan, the RA Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Oleg Yesayan to the Russian Federation were attending.
According to the Head of the delegation Hermine Naghdalyan, the item concerning the perspectives of Armenia’s participation in the Eurasian integration processes was on the agenda. The Head of the Chair of the Armenian State University of Economics, Doctor of Economics Ashot Tavadyan and the Director of the Department of the Integration Development of the Eurasian Economic Committee V. Spassky delivered key reports on the aforementioned item.
To Hermine Naghdalyan’s assessment, Armenia should be able to find schemes, mechanisms for cooperation between the Eurasian Union and Armenia.
During the discussions statistical studies regarding the investments, trade turnover, as well as budgetary, macro-economic, and tariff policy have been presented.
The second item of the agenda was referring to the deepening of economic relations, particularly, the cooperation between the representatives of small and medium business, and highlighting it the Committee made a decision to discuss the current situation, the conditions and impeding issues of that cooperation, during 2014 May sitting. For this purpose the Armenian side set up a relevant working group with the following members: the NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan, NA deputies Tachat Vardapetyan, Martin Sargsyan and Vardan Ayvazyan. The RA Trade Industrial Chamber, the National of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development and the RA Ministry of Economy take part in the working group.
At the end of the sitting, under the decree of the RA President Serzh Sargsyan, four former and current representatives of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, who showed active participation in the works of the Inter-parliamentary Committee V. Kulakov, S. Kolesnikov, I. Chernishenko and N. Tonkov were handed Mkhitar Gosh medals. On the basis of the outcomes of the sitting Co-Chairs of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee the RA NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan and the member of the Federal Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Nikolay Rizhkov signed the protocol of the 22nd sitting.
The agenda of the next 23rd sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee was decided, which will be dedicated to the solution of the transport problems of Armenia and Russia.
According the member of the delegation, the NA deputy Ruzanna Muradyan, during the visit an agreement was reached with the Russian side to implement joint educational, sport and cultural projects, which will be aimed at the development of the two countries. With that framework a basis of cooperation was laid with the famous figure skater Irina Rodnina in implementing joint projects.
On May 29 the RA NA delegation had a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee of Relations with the CIS and Affairs and Compatriots of the RF State Duma L. Slutsky and other members of the Committee.
On May 30 the First Deputy of the RF State Duma Chairman I. Melnikov received the delegation. During the talk the RA NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan positively assessed the outcomes of the 22nd Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA NA and the RF FA and expressed hope that the political and economic problems between the allied countries could always be correctly solved.
Igor Melnikov highly assessed the works of the 22nd of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation, as well as the current level of the development of the Armenian-Russian relations.
