On June 5 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with the Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Sergey Overchenko.

The sides have expressed conviction that the Armenian-Russian parliamentary cooperation is of great importance in strengthening and deepening the bilateral cooperation. In this context both sides highlighted the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA NA and the RF FA. They positively assessed the works of the next sitting of the Armenian-Russian Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation held in the RF recently and issues raised there.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors emphasized the deepening of the relations between the two countries in different parliamentary platforms, the development of parliamentary diplomacy and the need of the exchange of experience in other spheres.

During the meeting the sides also touched upon other issues of bilateral interest.
