RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan Receives the Ambassador of Kuwait

On June 14 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received Bassam Muhammed Al-Qabandi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the RA.

The Ambassador conveyed the invitation of the President of the National Assembly of Kuwait Ali Fahd Al-Rashid on visiting Kuwait on an official visit to the President of the Parliament.

The NA President Hovik Abrahamyan thanked for the invitation and assured him that during the year of 2013 he would plan to be in Kuwait on an official visit. He expressed confidence that the visit would be effective and would promote the further development of relations between the two countries. Mr Abrahamyan conveyed his thanks and wishes through the Ambassador to the President of the Parliament of Kuwait. To his conviction, Ali Fahd Al-Rashid’s official visit to Armenia greatly promoted the deepening of bilateral cooperation and gave an opportunity of pre-indicating new edges of partnership. Noting that Kuwait is a country of pursuing serious export and import policy of goods, Hovik Abrahamyan said that during the visit of the President of the Kuwaiti Parliament the perspectives of developing cooperation in this sphere were discussed.

The Ambassador Bassam Muhammed Al-Qabandi noted that the official visit of the President of the Kuwaiti Parliament to Armenia had promoted the deepening of relations between the two countries and had received a big positive response in his country. He expressed conviction that Hovik Abrahamyan’s visit would be one more important step in developing the Armenian-Kuwaiti political and economic relations.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors highlighted the further development of the Armenian-Kuwaiti relations, the deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations and discussed other issues of bilateral interest.
