On July 9 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with the Delegation led by Feng Yujun, Director of China Institute of Russian Studies of Contemporary International Relations of China.

By Feng Yujun's assessment, after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries the Armenian-Chinese relations had reached to a high level. According to the guest, the successes registered in the spheres of trade-economic, political cooperation, strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations and in humanitarian spheres during the recent years, witness of that. The interlocutors deemed necessary to more develop the big potential and opportunities of the two countries in different spheres.

At the guests’ request Artak Zakaryan presented the functions of the National Assembly and the standing committees, touched upon the peculiarities of parliamentary diplomacy and the steps being taken in that sphere, talked about the multi-polar and balanced foreign policy pursued by Armenia. The questions concerning the representatives of the Institute were also relating to the region, the Near-East developments and the problems connected with the Armenian communities in them.

In the course of the meeting the sides also touched upon the Armenian-Turkish relations, the NK problem and the opportunities of the peaceful development. Issues regarding the military-technical and military-political cooperation were discussed.
