“I learnt with deep grief on the untimely death of Levon Ananian, Honoured Figure of the RA Culture, and Chairman of the Armenian Writers’ Union.

Levon Ananian has left an undeniable trace in the modern Armenian Literature and journalism as a prosaist, long-year Editor in-Chief of Garun magazine. Through Apollo publishers’ established by him Armenian reader got acquainted with the masterpieces of the World Literature. Thanks to Levon Ananian the activity of the Armenian Writers’ Union reached to a new level, the relations of the Armenian writers living and creating in the Motherland and beyond its borders became closer. Until the end of his life Levon Ananian had developed literary-public activity and he will remain in our memory as an intellectual of principle, living with the concerns of the country and the society.

I express my condolences in the name of the RA National Assembly and me to Levon Ananian’s family, relatives and close friends and I share their grief.”
