On October 10 the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan met with the Delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas.
At the guests’ request Naira Zohrabyan has presented the situation created in the country after the statement made by Armenia of joining the Customs Union, noting that it is very important to continue the dialogue with the European Union within the framework of fundamental reforms, in which direction already certain work had been done. Ms Zohrabyan has expressed hope that it will be possible to sign a political document, which will give an opportunity to continue the dialogue with the European Union, and the European community. The sides discussed the content of the possible document to be signed. The Committee Chair noted that the document could include provisions relating to fighting against corruption, human rights, democracy and reforms of the justice system.
