Press Conference in the Parliament
1 / 2

On October 23 the press conference of Hovhannes Margaryan, the member of the Armenian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) was held. He informed the attendees that he had taken part in the meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Legal and Political Affairs in Bucharest, capital of Romania on October 14-17. Presenting the agenda of the meeting Mr Margaryan noted that he had delivered a speech on the theme “The Role of PABSEC in Enhancement of Cooperation in the Black Sea Region: Challenges and Prospects.” Issues relating to the agenda of the PABSEC 42nd Plenary Meeting to be convened in Georgia in December had been also discussed at the meeting. He said that he had been unanimously elected Deputy Chairman of the PABSEC Committee on Legal and Political Affairs. The representative of the Russian delegation had recommended the Armenian MP’s candidacy in the post of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee. Hovhannes Margaryan highlights his election in terms of having an opportunity if the right of extraordinary voting and moderating in the committees in some discussions. To Mr Margaryan’s conviction, Armenia should activate its opportunities of parliamentary diplomacy. Hovhannes Margaryan informed those present that in future the Foreign Ministers of the PABSEC member countries would meet in Yerevan and discuss issues regarding the deepening of economic relations.
