On November 20 the RA NA Vice President hermine Naghdalyan met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia Tengiz Sharmanashvili and the Envoy Georgy Saganelidze.
Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Hermine Naghdalyan congratulated them on the presidential elections held in Georgia and the President’s sworn-in. Mrs Naghdalyan expressed hope that the warm friendly relations of the Armenian and Georgian peoples would continue and the contacts would become closer.
Tengiz Sharmanashvili has documented that the presidential elections had been held in the peaceful and free atmosphere, providing 46% participation of the population. He has underlined that the Armenians and the Georgians have common past, and certainly, friendly relations in future.
The NA President informed those present about the meeting to be held in future with the first Vice President of the Georgian Parliament Manana Kobakhidze, as well as talked about the necessity of organizing meetings with the Armenian and Georgian women MPs to discuss the problems of the women living in the region and the women MPs’ positions on different topical issues.
During the talk the sides discussed the meetings scheduled in future and the joint programmes, issues relating to the cooperation of the Friendship Groups, education, culture and regional problems.
