Debates on the Program of Enlargement of Communities in the NA Standing Committee
1 / 1

On March 3 at the sitting moderated by Stepan Margaryan the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government debated the approaches of the government on the enlargement of the communities in the republic.

Stepan Margaryan has informed the attendees that the government has already chosen the models on the enlargement of the communities. A concept is worked out to submit for the consideration of the parliament in future.

According to Stepan Margaryan, the Committee will try to clarify the community residents' concerns and proposals in the visits designed in the upcoming months.

The expert Vahan Movsisyan of the USAID Support to the Armenian National Assembly Program (SANAP) presented the two models being under debate in the RA Government, their peculiarities, the international experience, and the results expected as a result of investments to the Committee.

The Committee Chairman Stepan Margaryan informed those present that in connection with this issue and other issues parliamentary hearings and debates will be organized during the spring session.

Other issues concerning the work of the Committee were also debated.
