On May 15 the Secretary of the NA Prosperous Armenia faction Naira Zohrabyan and the member of the faction Elinar Vardanyan met with Andriy Shevchenko, member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Kateryna Ryabiko, Officer at the OSCE/ODIHR Democratic Governance and Gender Issues Division and Jemma Hasratyan, Chair of the Association of Women with University Education.

At the guests’ request, Naira Zohrabyan and Elinar Vardanyan touched upon the problems concerning the women in the country, the women’s involvement in the political processes and the issues of the increase of their role, presented the work of the women involved in the structures of the Women’s Council of the Prosperous Armenia Party. The guests introduced the women’s representation and activities in the parliaments of the OSCE countries.

The interlocutors made an agreement to cooperate and pass to each other their experience on the regulation of the problems of women, maternity, family and children.
