“Dear children and parents,

I congratulate you on the occasion of International Day for Protection of Children.

The viability of the country’s and people’s future is conditioned also by today’s attitude of the society and state towards children and their rights, the steps taken in their protection.

In the families the devotion and care reaching frequently to the sacrifice towards children by their parents, the responsibility for their destiny are a powerful stimulus for creating family atmosphere, social and public dignified environment in the state, proving that fact that state itself is one family, and the children’s interests are state interests, i.e. everybody’s national interests.

The unique love and warmth towards children are the inseparable part of our people’s spiritual character and inner world, which are displayed every day and every hour. And on International Day for Protection of Children all of this turns into outwardly official, but in reality, all-human and also transnational phenomenon, taking into consideration that it is celebrated in the whole world. This is one more evidence that all the children of the world are not only a source of love and warmth, but they also need that love and warmth, have the right to peaceful, safe and welfare childhood, and the adults have the responsibility and obligation of providing it for them.

On the occasion of International Day for Protection of Children I send my warm congratulations to all the children living in the Republic of Armenia, all the children of Artsakh and Diaspora. I particularly want to congratulate the children who are in need of much caress and love in child care institutions.

I cordially wish everybody peaceful, careless and happy childhood, welfare and dignified future.”
