On June 23-26 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, Head of the Armenian delegation to the NATO PA Koryun Nahapetyan in the delegation of the NATO PA Defence and Security Committee visited Belgrade and Priština. The goal of the delegation was to get acquainted with the works aimed at NATO - Serbia relations, security reforms, Kosovo peacekeeping forces (KFOR) service, the latest political and economic developments, institutional reforms and problems related to Kosovo status.
During the visit there were meetings with the Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, members of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs, Serbian State Secretary of Defense, Head of Serbian delegation to the NATO PA, Speaker of Kosovo Parliament, Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Security Forces, representatives of Command of Kosovo peacekeeping forces, as well as Ambassadors of Slovakia and Norway to Serbia and the military attaché of Great Britain.
Koryun Nahapetyan also met with the Heads of the RA peacekeeping forces under the U.S. Command in Kosovo.
As a result of the meetings the delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has registered certain progress conditioned by the resoluteness and firmness of regulating relations by Belgrade and Priština, implementation of concrete measures aimed at strengthening of confidence, gradual improvement of democracy and state institutions.
